I am trying to ascertain when Edward Hebden Brodribb left England. He was married in Ararat in 1860, and we think he was in Adelaide prior to the discovery of gold in Victoria in 1853. In 1872, in Australia his occupation was listed as miner. I am also looking for the last listing of Charles Brodribb born 3 March 1805. Charles was a leather seller & iron monger and was listed as living in Market Place Warminster in the 1841 census. Charles died in Australia in 1860. Charles was married to Maria Sarah Allies and the had 10 children, I have no record of them being in Australia. Can anyone help me. Thank you

Edward may have arrived late 1849. Not all passenger lists to SA have survived. One site that had some early arrivals seems to be down.

There are members here who have access to other resources so it may still be possible to find his arrival.

Another member of the Walker family is my connection.

Thank you Bootzy, this is our Edward Hebden, the one I am trying to track down when he arrived in Australia - I think we are getting close.
