Yes I have Edward in every census until he was married. I don't know much about Elizabeth which was why I was looking for a census to put her birth in.

There seems to be only one possible Elizabeth Sherry in the area pre 1872. In 1871 she is a servant and in 1861 she is at Orchard St in Hackney:-

In 1851 Henry and Mary Ann are in Hackney with their children, eldest child Mary Ann aged 11.

I did find the 1871 census, but wasn't sure if it was her, but you have found other information, thanks Elaine. But I still don't know what happened after they got married :(

A real mystery!
In 1881 I found the widowed father, Edward, with his 8 younger children but Edward J, Henry and Caroline have all left home. Caroline married George Pyle Bennett in 1878 and I found her with him in 1881 but no trace of Edward J and Henry in 1881 or subsequent censuses.
Also I haven't seen any nephews/nieces who could be their children. They don't seem to have died so I can only think they have emigrated together.

No I thought that as well, but I found Henry which I put on my other thread about him in 1901 as a married boarder, but his wife Emma was not with him, and I don't know where she was.
