First thing is to rule out three other Edward NORMANs.

One was born Prahran, Vic. married Elizabeth/Lizzie PARRY date unknown.

This one is easy to rule out - son of Edward NORMAN and PARRY:

Surname: NORMAN
Given Names: Edward
Father: Edward
Mother: Elizabeth PARRY
Death Place: WIND
Age: 59
Year: 1960
Reg Number: 33645
Event: D

-----
This one is ruled out by being too young:

Surname Given Names Service Date
NORMAN Edward 11/05/1965

The 1965 Edward is memorialised at Fawkner Memorial Park. No other name mentioned.
Fawkner Memorial Park wishes to advise that the location of the cremated remains of the late Edward Norman aged 72 are located at Garden of Remembrance 3 Wall Niches Section 3 Compartment D Niche 83.

It depends very much on the date of the marriage to Elizabeth PARRY because the son was born abt 1901.

Sorry no occupation.

I can't find a notice in TROVE for the 1894 wedding.

The one who married Lizzie PARRY did so in 1892. I've not looked for a notice for this one yet. Just got date off Vic BMD index.

And we have three in Victoria in 1903:

Edward Norman Flinders - Bunyip South (farmer)
Edward Norman Southern Melbourne - South Yarra (carpenter)
Edward Norman Yarra - Richmond South (box maker)

Can't be one who died in 1960 nor the one who died in 1965 because both were under 21 so can't be on 1903 roll, so there are three in 1903 to sort out somehow.

One of those should be married to Lizzie. One is possibly the widower of Ada and no idea about the other.

I've checked TROVE again and can't find anything that helps.

I think we wait until I can visit the State Library and check the pre 1900 E/R.

Might get an occupation for Edward.

There might be one more marriage for an Edward NORMAN.

We have one for 1892 and one for 1894.
