Hello Dave not much help with the Census but I can see a marriage in Queensland for a Richard Outridge Powell in 1889 to Annie Gertrude Curley. They are both on the Electoral Roll for 1943 in Queensland at 36 Day's Rd Wilston. And also on earlier electoral rolls. I can see some births of children for them if you would like these let me know. Take Care Lynette
Hello Lynette,

Thanks but the Queensland records are no problem for me. It's the birth/baptism and census records in England I'm having a problem with.

I spend my money on certificates not on subscriptions to any pay site so I post lots of census queries.

hello Dave 1851 Census Edward James Powell born 1825 Hackney Occupation Clerk in London Docks address Park Terrace. Wife Mary Walker Powell born 1828 Shepton Mollit Somerset daughter Ellen born 1849 hackney and daughter Emma born 1851 Hackney. Household 19 Piece 1506 Folio 249 Page 4. The 1841 census is very hard for me to read. Take Care Lynette

John Rose, 72 years of age, resident in the colony 39 years.
Eleanor Kirk Rose, 69 years of age, resident in the colony 39 years.

That would suggest they left England about 1860.

I'd like a look up for them in 1861 and also in earlier NZ E/R.

I don't have their arrival in NZ.

Thanks Geoff.

I have the death and burial records for John and Eleanor.

Only missing the shipping record.

Time I got some sleep so catch you tomorrow.
