A distant relation, Edward is born 1828 to Edward Wainwright and his wife Ann Poppleton. He is in Brierley, Yorkshire in the 1841 census and the 1851 census.
I suspect he is the one who gets 9 months for stealing a horse in 1856 as he lives at Walton nr Wakefield, very near Brierley when in the papers online and the York assizes on Atree.
But I have lost him after that.
There is another Edward Wainwright around the same age who marries Mary Mather and lives in Wombwell but his father is Joseph Wainwright.
I believe Edward died 1887 at Wakefield aged 60 9c 22 1st quarter but where is he between that 1856 and 1887. The other Edward is still at Wombwell in 1891 so def rules him out.
Can anyone find him for me?
Barbara
