Ann's father. I have no remarriage/death/burial for her mother Ann (possibly nee FOSTER).

Francis c. 11 Jun 1786 Brede, Sussex

Buried 9 Sep 1819 Brede ?

Francis FURNER buried St George Brede Sussex 9 Aug 1819 aged 33yrs ?

Can the baptism and burial dates be confirmed?

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks Geoff.

Very little Sussex data seems to be on-line. A baptism for Annie M. would help.

I think it would have to be a BAKER & BRAY not a BAKER & FURNER/TURNER marriage.

Thanks Geoff.

I was given these as the parents of Ann's father Francis:

I can say that the burial dates for Elizabeth and Francis from the Sussex Burials Index are … Francis 16th Jan 1795 St George Brede and Elizabeth 6th Apr 1795 same place.
For many years I thought there was only one possible but this one turned up.

Francis Furner
Event Type Burial
Event Date 1797
Event Place Brede, Rother District, East Sussex, England
Photograph Included N
Birth Date 02 Dec 1762
Death Date Jan 1797
Affiliate Record Identifier 121031495
Cemetery St George Churchyard

It is a direct line and impacts the tree to a great extent because of one missing birth/baptism, that of Charles abt 1795, son of Francis senior & Elizabeth FAIRHALL.

From SFGH
Baptised at Brede
Francis, 2 Dec 1762 son of Nathaniel & Mary

Which agrees with the second burial so who is the one with no age buried in 1795?

From the Sussex Marriage Index
At Brede, 24 July 1783
Francis Furner & Elizabeth Fairhall

Just checked the NBI coverage for St George, Brede = 1559-1899, no gaps given. Source given as SFHG. 4,491 entries, 29% checked.

Thanks Geoff.

No children born after Charles so Elizabeth nee Fairhall must be the 1795 burial.

2x Francis or an error ???

Does not help re son Charles.
