I had a quandary in deciding the date of death of my step great grandfather in that 2 different dates fitted to his birth date!
One date was in 1923 and the other in 1939 to be certain I would have to get copies of both which even as pdf copies would be £14.
Then I wondered if the electoral roll was available for the relevant dates.
As luck would have it the 1923 was there(Ancestry) where he was on the roll but he was not there in 1925 thus the death in 1923 is the correct one!
The only downside is that the Electoral Rolls are not listed for everywhere - pity:rolleyes:

Hi Peter,

I have used electoral rolls to narrow things down, including deaths. Also used to confirm spouses and children if in the right age bracket..
