This is probably the wrong death - hardly be a sculptor or statuary.

Death 24 Jun 1880/C02072 Cook William - - * born England aged about 45 years

The Capricornian (Rockhampton, Qld.) - Sat 3 Jul 1880 p.11
A CORRESPONDENT writes from Springsure: - "An inquiry was held on June 26, by Mr. A. C. Gillespie J.P., touching the death of William Cook, an employee of Mr. Kelman's, at Meteor Downs... The Rev. Mr. D. Meiklejohn officiated at his burial in the Meteor Downs cemetery the same day.

Maybe not.

Is it William junior?

I doubt William senior was the father of the one born 1877 in Qld.

Looks like only one marriage and it's junior who married Eliza Upton and age 59 in 1861 is a odd error.

Family arrived in Australia between May 1861 & 20 Aug 1866 ???

Need to find the right death for William (b. abt 1828 ) in Qld.
