Without checking I seem to recall you thought Sr. married Elizabeth Davies, just checked Jr.'s marriage and his mother is Elizabeth Davies. Let me know if you need a copy..

Checked the original Ludlow PR's that does appear to be the only William around that time with father = John. There is a William s/o John & Sarah in 1789 and William s/o John in 1789..
