I can't find the marriage of James Pearson to Eliza Bourne.

I believe the death in that tree is the James who married Eliza Doody.

I'm not sure if this is Eliza nee Bourne or Eliza nee Doody.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Thu 29 May 1879 p.1
Deaths.
PEARSON.-May 26, at her residence, Post-office, Camden, Eliza, relict of the James Pearson, aged 76 years.

James and Eliza married by Licence. The licence states that Eliza was aged 21 years and upwards at the time of the marriage in 1822. There is a baptism in Liverpool 25 February 1798 for an Eliza Doody father Roger.

I can't find anything for a Roger Doody apart from a burial in Toxteth 6 August 1832 aged 78 (yob c1754).

Thanks emeltee.

After spending most of the day on this I still don't know if we have 2x James & Eliza or 1x James and 2x Eliza or how Eliza Bourne fits in.

Pearson (Bourne) Eliza b. 24 Oct 1805 d. 26 May 1879 73 dau/Richard Thomas & Martha; b. Liverpool, Lancashire, England;

Thanks Val.

I can't see a connection to Pearson. Perhaps John was appointed because he was a clerk of the court, as was James.

If ACI is correct then an Eliza Bourne was born on 24 Oct 1805 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Richard Thomas & Martha.

The only record found on Lancs OPC and it does not fit.

Marriage: 7 Jan 1800 St Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
Richard Bourne - Potter, Liverpool
Ann Elston - Spinster, Liverpool
Witness: Edward Coventry; Esther Evester, (X)
Married by Banns by: Ls. Pughe, Curate
Register: Marriages 1799 - 1801, Page 50, Entry 6
