It's a strange one gibbo.

If Elizabeth didn't marry why die as WALLIS?

NSW BMD have stopped adding 'R' to the reg so you no longer know which one is the most recently amended. They also no longer show the various dates and just list the reg together. No way of knowing how long after 1900 the record was changed to WALLIS.


I have not tried to trace Florence J so I'll do that tonight.

There is a Cartwright family in Goulburn/Temora but I've not found the connection yet.

Yeah, mother married a 'John Smith' The inital 'J' is correct.
