Catherine Hennessy/Cox/Shaw (nee Dowling) married 1st April 1844 Sydney to William Shaw born 1804 Yorkshire. She died 1858 Glebe and was buried 16th November 1858. The Elizabeth you refer to was the eldest daughter of Catherine and her second husband Robert William Cox and is my ancestor. She married twice i) Samuel William Woollard and ii) Edward Hebden Brodribb

I have a lot of information on both Catherine and Robert William Cox who were both Irish convicts, their life in Castlereagh Street and their problems with the authorities if you are interested. Elizabeth married Edward Hebden Brodribb after her second husband (my ancestor) was killed with 2 others in a mine collapse in the goldfields at Long Gully, Vict. She turned to teaching on the goldfields after his death.
I believe Elizabeth had 4 siblings but other than birth and baptism dates I have no other information.
