Elizabeth b1723 married Russell Farmer in 1742 Cowley Middlsex, they had two sons Richard and John, Russell died in 1748 Harefield. Elizabeth's parents were Richard Aslee and Mary Walls.

When Richard Ashlee's will was proved in Harefield 1767, he mentions a grandson George Mitchel. There was a Clandestine marriage for an Elizabeth Farmer widow to a John Mitchel 1754 Westminster, John was from Dorset. A George Mitchel was baptised at St John the Baptist church Harefield in 1759 parents John and Elizabeth.

My question, if Elizabeth Farmer nee Ashlee married John Mitchel, why would she be buried as Elizabeth Farmer?? It's the only death I can find for Elizabeth in Harefield at that time. Do I have the right Elizabeth??

Many thanks

Amanda
