Hi Dave , I can find no SA birth for Elizabeth that matches, but two possible? marriages with William Harris as the father.

rather remote but??
there's is no SA birth for William Harris and Mary gribble, apart from the two you already have. If I type in Mary Gribble as mother, there are 10 including the 2 you know about, and 8 for a Mary Gribble with Wiiliam Hales.

FLEMING-HARRIS.-On the 6th March, in the Wesleyan Chapel, Macaw Creek, by the Rev. William M. Bennett, of Kapunda, George, the third son of Mr. Frederick Fleming, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. William Harris, all of Riverton.


Fire at the Burra. The Register 25th Jan 1887
A fire occurred this morning at 4 o'clock in the shop of Mr. William Harris. . The building was completely destroyed with the stock, also the dwelling-house and furniture. The inmates narrowly escaped with their lives. Everything was insured in the Colonial Mutual Fire Insurance Company

I took 1853 Burra off a tree some years ago. I doubt that the family were that far north. The tree had no marriage and no death for Elizabeth.

I would think that if Elizabeth didn't die young she would probably be with family and then if she married it would have been in Victoria.

Possibly rules that one out. Mary Jane is the eldest. Well, I have no death or marriage so she could have died young.

I have three different HARRIS families in my tree and all are difficult to trace.
