Hello,

1863 Victorian marriage #1927 McKELLAR Neil - DAVIDSON Elizabeth McNico

I'm looking for the death of Elizabeth McNicol(l) M(a)cKELLAR

I don't have a dob or pob for either yet or a death for Neil (may have a middle name).

It's possible both were born in Scotland. I'm waiting for a copy of the family tree and in the meantime I'm doing what I can.

Regards,

Dave

That lack of comma fooled me. Rowena is a place in NSW between Moree and Walgett. :D

Yes. :2fun: Actually, I had never heard of Rowena. I know of lots of towns in the far NW of NSW but not that one. Probably 100km return trip to the letter box at the front gate. :D

Marriage 7821/1891 GREIG PETER C - MACKELLAR ADA M - WALGETT

I knew at least one son of Neil and Elizabeth was a grazier in NW of NSW but I didn't know Neil and Elizabeth moved from Victoria to that area.

Neil and Elizabeth married in Victoria. I suspect both were born in Scotland. It's possible one or both were born in Victoria but we shall find out eventually.

We have age at death for both and parents from the reg so off I go to Argyll and Angus. :D

Looks like no one knows when the MacKELLAR family arrived in Victoria.

Neil & Neil junior or Neil & Ann and son Neil ???

So far I can't find them in 1841 or 1851, but I'm assuming Ann is still alive. If she died before 1841 then I'll have to look again.

Thanks gibbo. :) I have not got that far yet. Two trees on Mundia - one huge one.

I can't see a birth/baptism for Neil abt 1833 on FS - not looked on SP yet.

Curious:

Unassisted to Victoria - no others of the family ???
DAVIDSON JAMES 44 - MAR 1862 ORWELL B 200 001

This fits for age:

Unassisted to Victoria
DAVIDSON ELIZABETH 21 - JAN 1863 ESSEX B 211 005

But not the right age for brother James b. 1849:

DAVIDSON JAMES 23 -JAN 1863 ESSEX B 211 005

That's probably the wrong Elizabeth.
