Hello,

Elizabeth RITCHIE b. abt 1812 Norfolk - parents Robert & Ann

Death 9787/1879 SMITH ELIZABETH - ROBERT - DIED GUNNING - YASS

Seems Robert was a convict although I can't find any info yet. It's claimed he arrived in 1822 but that Elizabeth arrived free on a convict vessel in 1825.

The name appears as RITCHES in some records.

Transported For Seven Years For Stealing Six Geese And Nine Ducks At Antingham.
A tree has a death for Robert and spouse Ann in NSW but I can't find either reg. - HERE

Regards,

Dave

I found this

We are seeking others researching Robert and Ann Ritchie/Riches/Richey/Richards etc. Robert was born around 1788 in Norfolk England, and married Ann Munford in 1810. He was transported on the "Asia" (2) in 1822 and was assigned to James Atkinson. He applied to have his wife and family join him, which they did per "Henry" in 1824.
We have a group of people researching Robert and his wife Ann. We know a great deal about Robert as we have been researching him for many years, We produce a newsletter called The Ritchie Researcher, and would invite anyone interested to contact us and become a part of our group.
Their children were
Rachel (Marr. Isaac HOLMES),
Elizabeth ( Marr. William SMITH),
Mary (marr. James POWELL),
James (marr. Mary HOLLANDS),
Sarah (died as a child),
Susan (marr. William JONES).
We hope to be able to help anyone interested in any of these names. We
descend through Susan and William JONES, and have others researching all the other lines as well.

The above is last on the page on the link
