Elizabeth Rixon c1764/9. Brightwell Baldwin, Oxfordshire.

Hi all.

Need to find the lady mentioned, if possible, in 1841 census.

She was buried in Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire in 1847.

Husband was Thomas Rixon, but he died in 1834.

She married in 1803 St.Ebbes, Oxford. (Maiden name of HINES).

Daughter Mary Ann Rixon was born 1807 Kingston Blount, Oxfordshire, but was baptised in Aston, Rowant.

Elizabeth Rixon's baptism was apparently in 1764, but her age at burial gives a birth year of 1769.

I have her death 1847 reg. Dist. Thame.

She is transcribed as Elizabeth Bison aged 40 on A*! :2fun: :2fun:

She is not born in Co and is with a family called Loader.

On FMP she has the correct name and is aged 70, and an ag lab.

BUT.....over the page is John Rixon c1816.......so I'll just check him out first.

I think he was born to John & Elizabeth Rixon.

So I'd better check those burial records again for another Elizabeth Rixon.

OK Josie......she's the right one. John Rixon was baptised to Elizabeth(a widow). Her hubby was William Rixon, who died the same year as John Rixon was baptised.

So it looks like, that my Elizabeth Rixon, is John Rixon's Aunty. Possibly.:2fun::2fun:

Just wondered if Mary Ann Rixon had two brothers?

There are baptisms in Aston Rowant to parents Thomas and Elizabeth as follows.

Yes. I have those Josie, and I have them in census. etc.....Luton and Waddesdon, if I remember.
