Elizabeth Shannon Morrison - Who was her father?

I've been facing this brick wall for sometime as there's no mention of him on any of her bmd certificates.

Her mother was Isabella KERR Morrison (b 21 Jan 1857, Edinburgh)
She was born 16 July 1894, Edinburgh.
She Married William Millar 5 Sep 1918, Edinburgh

I believe her father may have the surname Shannon as her older sister was named Robina FISHER Morrison and her father was David FISHER.

I've checked and re-checked her birth certificate and there's no RCE entry.

Any help would be must appreciated.

Hi,

Have you got her marriage certificate? Obiviously if you have then her fathers name has been left blank. As Ancestry for Scotland only gives the census transactions I canot view the image to see if there is anyone with the name Shannon living nearby. There is another older sister Agnes CK Morrison born abt 1880.

Nice to hear from you again. Yes I have the certificate for her marriage to my great-grandfather.
According to that her father was a Daniel Morrison and her mother Isabella Morrison (m.s. Kerr) which I know is not correct as her mother was a Morrison by birth.

Could be possible that she made his 1st name up. Did think I found a likely candiate Christopher Shannon born abt 1854 Dumfrieshire living in Edinburgh in 1901 occ coachman, but wasnt able to find him on previous census, though there were other Christopher Shannons the pob birth details didnt match.

I think you maybe right. I found in the 1881 census living in Dalmeny which is not far from Edinburgh.

Full Name was Agnes Crawford Kerr Morrison. Crawford after her grandmother and Kerr presumably after her mother.

Hi, I'm new to this site.

The two surnames I'm interested in on my father's side are Morrison & Kerr. My grandfather Louis Morrison (b1871 Campsie Stirling) married Mary Kerr (b1886 Clydebank)

Louis father was John Morrison & Isabella Anderson. Mary Kerr's parents were Daniel Kerr and Annie Arthur.

I would really like to find someone tracing the same families to share our history.
