A subscriber has suggested it is Vickers, the image probably looks more like Vickers than Vickery, if you look at the [Y's] in the right side column and the [Y] of Henry above..

Wickens is Elizabeth's married name. If Annie is a sister then ... or is she a sister-in-law?

Given Elizabeth's marital status = mar. then Annie could be a S-i-L to Elizabeth.

The image and the transcription say sister, however. Though Annie is more likely to be a S-i-L

The reg is 1844 and someone has a copy so it's 1844 not 1845 as in the extracted P record.

John William & Elizabeth Jane and family arrived in Australia 1891 - 1900 ??

Yes.

Both died at Nowra. The date of death on the burial record for both of them is one day before the date in the BMD index. I still think the index records the date of registration not the date of death in many cases.

I have nothing between 1861 and 1902.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 1 September 1905 p.4
MARRIAGES
WICKENS - SILVA.-August 23, 1905, at St. Barnabas' Church (C of E), by the Rev. W. A. Charlton, Albert, youngest son of John Wickens, of Shoalhaven, to Elizabeth (Cissie), eldest daughter of Joseph and Catherine Silva, of Alexandria.

Actually the eldest of 5 sons.

Mrs. Wickens, wife of Mr. John Wickens, engineer, of Bomaderry, whilst engaged in domestic duties yesterday afternoon sustained severe burns about the body through her clothes catching fire. She succumbed to the effects of the injuries last evening.

The funeral of Mrs. Wickens, who died on Monday from the effects of burns accidentally received, was largely attended to-day.
