Death of Mr. Thomas Brook,
Mr. Thomas Brook, of Bradley-street, died last night shortly after 12 o'clock after an illness of about four months from dropsy and heart disease. Deceased was 77 years of age, and had been a resident of Goulburn for about 25 years. It will be remembered that for some time he lived at East grove before its subdivision, and that that suburb was once known as Brook's Paddock. Mr. Brook, who was a native of Kent, England, leaves a widow, one son (Mr. George Brook, of North Goulburn), and three daughters--Mrs. Garrad, of Bowral, Mrs. Bicknell, who resides in Victoria, and Mrs. Hampshire, of Bradley-street. Mr. Brook was at one time a resident of Crookwell, and also resided at various times in other paris of New South Wales before taking up his abode here. He led a most estimable life, and was deservedly held in the highest respect. He came to this colony in 1839.
