I have re-checked just to make sure that a) I didn't imagine it and b) that I hadn't made any typos.

The site I use had her surname transcribed as Salt but it is definitely Tate.

I tried Thomas with no surname b. 1900 +/- 1 in Woodbridge, Suffolk and only three hits
