Hi all.:)

Can anyone find this lady in 1881 & 1891 census please.

Emily Chapman gave her father as Frederic Mathews(c1842.Aston Sandford, Bucks), at her marriage in Aylesbury, 30th August 1891, to William Linney(c1866. North Marston, Bucks).

Her apparent mother, Charlotte Chapman(c1843. Haddenham, Bucks), married Frederic Mathews, 16 July 1867. So I assume Emily Chapman was Illegitimate.

Emily Mathews(Chapman) c1865, is with them in 1871 census.

She is not seen until 1901 census.

Thanks folks.

Well....this lady was a bit of tear about.

She had a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Chapman c1886. Haddenham.....who got left at her grandparents for a few years. Then she had a son, Albert William Chapman c1889. Haddenham(no father named),.......who was baptised in Aylesbury, and then dumped in the workhouse, at only a few months old, while she scooted off to London to earn some cash.:eek:

They eventually come together by 1901 under their stepfathers name of Linney/Linny.

Took me a good while to work it out, but I got there in the end.:)
