James married Emily Organ, daughter of George Organ and Maria Morgan, in 1853 in Church of England, Dapto, NSW. Emily was born on June 20, 1835 in Gloucestershire, England and died on September 10, 1918 in Bulli, NSW at age 83.

Perhaps it's Somerset not Gloucestershire.

Name: Emily Organ
Event Type: Census
Event Date: 1841
Gender: Female
Age: 6
Birthplace: Somerset
Schedule Type: Household
Registration District: Frome
Sub-District: Frome
Parish: Frome

Still searching for Emily's arrival in Australia.

I'd like a look up please for Emily in 1841.

Thanks,

Dave

No, I think it's the right passenger list with some errors.

Might be able to find a baptism to confirm father's name.

This could be a interesting read if you can get hold of the book.

Pioneers of the Illawarra - a history of the family of Elias Organ in Wollongong, 1839-1869
Michael K. Organ, University of Wollongong
Robert Hardy
Article comments
Organ, MK and Hardy, R, Pioneers of the Illawarra - a history of the family of Elias Organ in Wollongong, 1839-1869, University of Wollongong Printery, 1984, 128p.

Abstract
This history deals with the life and times of members of the Organ family who settled in the Illawarra region in 1839 and whose descendents remain there to this day. The text is based almost entirely on official government records and newspaper accounts. Unlike other such histories no core of personal memorabilia including letters, documents or artifacts survives, upon which a more personal account can be constructed. Some personal reminiscences dictated by members of the family in the 1920s and '30s have been used, however they are sketchy and were only used to indicate a line of research. This detailed study focuses on the circumstances of the Organ family during the period 1839-1869.

Found it online... Here we have documented eight children, six who survived and came to
New South Wales, leaving fourteen unaccounted for if we believe the
information on both Elias and Elizabefh's death certificates which
state that they had 22-23 children all told
