Hi Janie

I found his birth in the civil registers in the Sep Quarter of 1896 in Liverpool. Ref 8b 68.

On Ancestry.co,uk there is WW1 Service Record listed for him. The Document year was 1917 and it says that he was born in 1896. His war documents contain 32 pages according to the record which are viewable online.

He enlisted on the 11th October 1917 and was of 31a Bearmick Street, South Bank, Liverpool.

Hi

It also says that he was 5 foot 3/12 inches and he wed Bertha Seddon on 6.6.1912. She was also of his Liverpool address. Direct Enlistement O Seaman. The Corps says something like R.I.G and D.

Hi Janie

When did she remarry and who to? Hw old was your mum?

Ben
That side of my family has already been researched by my mum's cousin. I am really just interested in finding out about my grandfather and if he had any other children as my Mum was told he may have had a son. My Mum and her sister Phyllis (who "Brickwall" was asking about on this forum) are still alive. It is a pity the Brickwall hasn't been in contact.

Thank you for your interest.

Janie
