Joseph Smith is appointed mining surveyor and
registrar, vice R. A. Holmes. The notice does,
not state the place where Mr Holmes has been
last employed, or indicate the cause which ne
cessitated another appointment to be made.

It rained again yesterday. Fine so far today so I've just spent a few hours in the garden.

I missed that 'London' bit from the marriage. The SLNSW has fiche for marriages in Vic. and if you look up the groom and the bride you can sometimes get pob for both. They don't always agree with the pob on a Vic. birth or death reg.
