Farmer smith??

Hi,

I am looking for info. on a William smith b. 1825-30 Herefordshire. His father was also a William and was a farmer. They were from Much Marcle. William junior married twice, don't know anything about 1st wife, 2nd wife was Harriet Hooper from Worcestershire. they married in aug 1858. marriage cert. says william was a widower.
Any thing on his family would be good. Thanks

Looked up this family on 1841 census no William but a Thomas, the 1841 census dosnt give household relationships, do you want the info?

I would think this is the same Louisa as on the 1851 census could be the same William as the ages were rounded down 5 years on the 1841 census.

Thank you for the 1851/41. I will have a good look at them, I know William's dad was also a William and a farmer from his marriage cert. is there any way to find out if Emma was married to a William? Also if she was a widow in 1851 would it have said father deceased in the marriage cert.? William married in 1858.

Thank you, that one looks good. I notice that there is no mother/wife. Is it possible then that Louisa died before 1851.? I have a marriage for a William and a Mrs Louisa Smith, but no date. I also have a record of a Louisa Smith born Much Marcle and not Lambeth... confusing eh?

1851 definately states that Louisa born Lambeth Surrey. Are there any children from Williams 1st Marriage?

I think William junior had a son Charles born 1853ish . the 1861 census says St. Mary's shropshire. Charles was 8 in 1861. Don't know 1st wifes name. Harriet had Henry/Harry before she and william married. Their marrriage cert. says 'full age' which is annoying as I was hoping to find out if William was alot older than Harriet.
