No Bella or Isabella in index for same Division in 1930.

Isabella and Madge both with initial S. Madge married twice but still don't know what the S is for.

This one is toughter than average.

No divorce 1909 - 1930 for Isabella.

I'm even stuck on McALPINE.

Hi gibbo

Yeah, I found Madge's 1st 2 marriage details and wondered if Mudgee was a fly in the ointment, but the 3rd marriage, middle name Marie and deaths in Kogarah and Rylstone you found looks good.

Still no sign of her mother's early details

Do you know if there is a Macdonaldtown in NSW?

I had to google  :2fun::2fun:

Found this

Macdonaldtown is an urban place in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Macdonaldtown is located 4 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, within the suburb of Newtown and adjacent to Erskineville

Ah! thanks...

No mention of Isabella in her first son in laws death notice.

Yeah, just trawling Trove now, trying to find something on Mcalpline, so far I found a Scottish Stepeney and an Irish Syme for the S for Isabella, the Stepeney one appears entrenched in Newcastle NSW and well documented, checking out the Syme at present...

Thanks gibbo.

I got as far as 2 marriages for Madge and when that didn't help with the 'S' I stopped.

Thanks Geoff.

So Richard and Isabella were together for a short time in Sydney not New England area.

One more puzzle. A death for Grace Eileen after 1963.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 27 April 1974 p.132
DEATHS

They are together in 1963 in Grayndler but can't see them in 1972 E/R.

Not in Ryerson.

Looing at the deaths in Ryerson for McALPINE there are a few with middle name Stewart and a few with Steele.
