Finding my blood father

Morning to all,

I am try to locate, or if anyone could guide me, into finding a list of scottish soldiers that served with the british military, based in germany during 1962. I have been lead to believe that my father was a mechanic, serving with the british army.

That may be an awful long list, even if one could be found.

If he was 20 years old then, he would be around 70 years old by now.

I would be surprised if they had been Declassified, as some are still living.
