Gday thought Id put this up for the people in Aus: 'The Forgotten Australian's' SBS 1 at 8.30PM Tuesday 16th November. It's 12 months since Mr Rudd apologised to the Australians raised in care and to the child migrants.

We need to learn from this so it does not happen again , so have a look if you can please.

Thanks Glen, will have a look for sure.
Gday gibbo it should be good, Ive been told it follows the two people that started Clan 10 year's ago. To get recognition for care leavers and to get the government to admit that the things that were said about child welfare in Aus up to the 1970s were true. my ugly face might even pop up at some of the get together.

Glen .

PS. finished Uni for the year.

So how did you go at uni? Any results for the final exams yet?
Hi gibbo I've past my Foundation course. got a credit for Archaeology and waiting for my results for Geography, last exam on Friday just gone. Looking on the bright side I've enrolled to start my degree in History next year and just hope I passed the last exam so I can start in Feb next year.

I'm having a great time only wish I had started years ago when the old grey cell's jumped around a bit quicker. So if life begins at 50 and I'm 57 I know what I'm doing for the next 20 years. not like school at all , much more fun.

Well done Glen...good on you......as for your show it was a shocking episode of Brit/Aussie history....probably only second to the way the Aborigines were treated.
All the best to you................Lee.

Hi lee your right a shocking episode in history but I think the worse of it was that there was complete denial that any wrong had been done. We need it out there so we lean from the past not repeat it.

Glen.

info @ caeleavers.org this is the body for care leavers in the UK.

It's clan in Aus
