Foundlings Birth Reg.

I only just found out that if you key in "unknown" into the surname section that birth registrations for Foundlings will come up. There are hundreds and hundreds of them.

A example of a Birth reg. from Victoria Australia.

very handy to know..and guess what.. works for NSW Births too, some have 1st names & mother's 1st name, works on Deaths as well but have to work in small period of years - ie 1895 - 1898 gives results but takes too long on a 10 or 20 years....

Hi Val,

I just thought it might help someone who has a Foundling in their family, cross reference it with orphange records etc. to find more information to confirm or eliminate anything. I dont know how much info would be on the certificates but at least it would have the home / orphange or who ever reg. them.
