Thanks for the links. I am in North carolina,USA and have been tracking famlies into North Carolina. So some info about the way people moved in the early USA. If they came into Baltimore the path was south along the coast. If they came into Pennisvania they came south via the Trace which is inland and settled the center of North Carolina, Western Verginia, and what was called "over the mountain" western South Carolina and Georgia. Also from Penn. they go due west to Ohio, Indiania, etc. From New York they settled in New England or go west via the Erie cannal. In the center part of North Carolina we have Welsh, Irish, Scots, and German. Along the coast Anglo-Irish, English and French Hugenot.
Can trace famlies by land deeds, it appears that the oldest son wouuld get the farm, so the younger sons moved to areas where they could get land.
Thanks again for the web sites, will search them for info.
