Francis was born in Scotland, Caithness, Thurso, 11 Oct 1757. It is believed he was married 2 times, his second wife was Christina Murray Metler that we know about, it's his 1st wife that this enquirey is about. Her maiden name was Foss/Fuss/Friss & her father's 1st name was Philip. It is believed their son Daniel McKay was b. 1798 Caithness, Thurso - d. 1859, Welland On., Canada.
Francis' parents were Donald Mc Kay b. 07 Apr 1732, Watten, Caithness,
his mother was Elspet Sinclair. Francis had 2 brothers 1. William McKay
b. 06 Jun 1762, Caithness, Thurso. It is possible that this is William in
Caithness, Thurso getting married on 16 Sep 1807, to Jean Henderson.
William's occupation was a WEAVER!!!!!!!! I have 2 possible children for William & Jean, 1. Donald 2 Oct 08 Caithness, Thurso. And Ann b. 03 May
1811 Caithness, Thurso. 2nd. Brother to Francis was George b. 04 Jun 1765
