South Australia is one of the hardest with so little available on-line. I have no idea if Frank arrived alone or with family or via what port.

Found this in the passenger lists but dont know if its your fella or not.

South Australia archives. Keyword Roberts and went through all the passenger lists from 1852 looking for the name Frank :2fun::2fun: His the only Frank i come across.

After finding that passenger list i went back into the SA archives and they all have the same list number so dont know why Frank didnt show up on the actual list

Well I'm not sure. If Josiah is 4 years then marriage was abt 1850 and Robert in 1851 census in post #1 is unmarried. Josiah is listed below William aged 1 so perhaps it should be 4 months. ???

Eliza aged 17 looks to be the daughter of a much younger William & Eliza so not the Eliza in 1851 in post #1.

Might be worth getting a look up in 1851 census for those families to see what part of Sussex.

Well now. Except for mother Eliza that is the family in 1851 census in post#1 but it does not fully fit with the ShipsList. Where are Frank and Daniel? And William is 20 years younger.

Yes Eliza x2 and William has x2 beside him as well which i dont think i put that in. That x2 would allow for the other William amongst them.

Those listed in post #8 fit so now to find the vessel.

Like you I went through all the 1854 vessels and there is no Frank and no Daniel.

The list as posted in #8 fits the family in post #1 with 2x Eliza and 1x William plus a Frank and a Daniel.

I can't find the vessel.

Maybe the ship is the Emigrant and names have been left of when it was transcribed. I think we need to find a copy of the original list for that ship :2fun::2fun::2fun:
The only Eliza's in the SA archives that i could find are those ones and they are on the Emigrant.

If that is the case we have a whole family missing from that list. No Daniel, no Frank, age for both Eliza and William should be 60.

I don't know. If you had found no Frank and no Daniel with the same list number then I'd say they arrived on a different vessel. But if we exclude those two can we make it fit?

Robert is the right age assuming he married and Josiah is 4 months old.

Eliza is the right age and daughter of William & Eliza. That would fit if ages for William and spouse were way out - they should be 60.

Shame a copy of the original list cant be found, that would be interesting to have a look at and see if they are all on that ship and if a error had been made when transcribing.
