I am trying to find ww1 info on my great uncle Frank Shipman. B.O.B 1883 Bentley/Doncaster. His wifes name was Maria and he had a daughter, Olive.
Could someone check the ww1 pension records please and see if he is there. I have no info on his army days at all, this is what im trying to find. Apparently he had been wounded and with the injuries i was told he substained he would have not been able to continue with the army so im hoping he may be in the pension records. I am not a paid member of ??? so im unable to check, could someone help please.

The Notts and Derby man died in 1916. All the rest enlisted relatively late (post 1915). This would make any regional affiliation irrelevant.

I would be tempted to look at the East Kent/Middx man first, as he may have been transferred to a garrison or works battalion because of wounds. I would guess that the other two served with their units till the end of the war.

I don't think the Frank G Shipman East Kent etc is the one you are looking for as I think he is my father who I understand was in the Buffs and was born in 1899. He was also invalided out of the army so the comment about being transferred is probably correct. I have been looking for my father's army record to try and find out where he served in WW1. If anyone knows how to interpreted the information on the medal card I would be interested to have it.

Hi
My Frank Shipman was born in 1882 Bently and his parents were named Robert Shipman and Eliza Jane Foster.
Do you know who the parents to your Frank were?

My grandparents on my father's side were William Henry Shipman and Alice Mary Shipman nee Littlejohn but not sure when they were born. Also they were London based.
