The people of Brungle lost one of their best friends on Tuesday of last week, when there passed away at "Sefton" Private Hospital, Tumut, Mrs. Christina Campbell. Deceased was held in the highest esteem by the people of Brungle, and of both the Gundagai and Tumut districts. She was the widow of the late Mr Frederick Campbell, owner of Red Hill Station, before the property was pur chased about seven years ago etc etc

Mr. Frederick Campbell
The death took place at "Warawang," about three miles from Narandera, on Sunday morning last of Mr. Frederick Campbell, at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Campbell was born at Duntroon, near Canberra, and was educated in England, and also at the Sydney University, and he was a member of the first Rugby football team that played for the Sydney University. He served his time as a jackeroo at Coonambeal Station, near Urana, and later purchased Yarralunglah [Yarralumla], Canberra, which was some years ago acquired by the Federal Government. He erected the residence now used by the Governor-General at Canberra. Mr. Campbell was also a member of a company which owned Cooinbil, near Carrathool, and other pastoral properties. He was also at one time the owner of Red Hill station, near Tumut.
For several years Mr. Campbell has resided in Narandera with his daughter, Miss S. Campbell, at whose residence he died.
He was twice married, and is survived by one daughter (Miss S. Campbell, Narandera) of the first marriage, and one son and one daughter of the second marriage. One son was killed while on service in the Great War. Deceased was a nephew of the late Hon. John Campbell, who died many years ago, and who during his life was a great benefactor to the Church of England in the Goulburn diocese. etc etc

Yes, it was part of a bus tour and we arrived by boat on the lake.
