I recommend this. I found a number of ancestors. If you are lucky it gives details of where and when married age of children etc. Remember that some applicants lied about their age so don't rule relatives out if a few years out.

Hi Ben,
I am chasing my grandfather Edward Hadley born in Dudley in 1884 and he joined the South Welch Borderers 24th foot around 1902. I then went to Canada in about 1911/12 and served with the Canadain CEF as a BSM training Canadain troops pre WW1. Trying to find him has been very hard so far. Any help would be most greatfully excepted. Thank you Ben. Laurie.
