french marriage

Hello,
I am looking for a marriage in France for a Reginald Burton Trollope and Emilia Helena ???? surname possibly Vilder. Marriage in or around 1923. I do not know where in France they married. Any help would be apprieciated.

Havnt found anything, but there is a death for a Gerald Arthur Burton Trollope in France, this is an Pedigree record on the familysearch site, there is the submitters name and address .

Hi Julie.

Gerald is Reginald's brother. I have contacted Gerald's son and he says he knows nothing about Reginald. I have contacted several members of his family and they all know of him but didnt know him. I get the feeling that Reginald may have been on the outer with them. Thanks for looking something will turn up enventually.

Found Reginald on the Ancestral file on the familysearch site, nothing of where he married.

He married twice. the first time is the French marriage and when she died he remarried, the second time was in York Yorkshire in about 1943 to 1945. If i was to get his marriage cert from the second marriage would it have any info on it about his first marriage?

Looks like Reginald lived in the Nottingham area between the years 1929-1937 (Captain Reginald B Trollope).

The only indication to Reginald being married before would be widower. Do you know if there was children from the first marriage and if so were they born in England.

After he retired from the Army he went to France for a bit and married there and then they went back to England and they lived in the Nottinghamshire area [keyworth area mainly] and then moved to York Yorkshire. I have sent for his service records but i dont think they would tell us much about his marriage as that was after he retired from the Army.

Hi again,
Yes there was one child from his marriage and i have contacted him and he was very pleasant but couldnt tell us much at all. He said it was before his time and he was adopted by Reginald and didnt know much about the family. There is a step daughter from the second marriage and she does not know anything either, again it was before her time. They either didnt talk a lot in that family or they are keeping quiet about something as no one knows nothing about Reginald!!

I am not a paid member for findmypast so i havent been able to check the overseas marriages. my cousin is so i will get her to check it for me.
