I have managed today to go back nearly 190yrs on one twig of my family tree, to 1630. With the 'potential' for getting to 1540 ish. DELIGHT.:)

But I cannot go back further than 1826 on my direct descendants. FRUSTRATION. :'(

Steve.:) :'( :) :'( :) :'(

Hi

Meet George Coombs. He was born c1790. I cannot find his baptism, marriage to Sarah nor his burial.

I know every little detail about his two sons, the youngest being my great, great, great grandfather born in 1828.

Yet with other lines I have gone back to the 1500s.

I said in a previous post that I would leave my G.G grandad alone, because he is the cause of my grief (brickwall), but I just cannot seem to get the 'ole fella of my mind. I can trace other Ives families almost into oblivion from my area. But not mine.
I am just too impatient. I have enormous respect for all those that have long standing 'brickwalls'.
I should really be grateful that I have come as far as I have in 4 months.

Hi

My advice is to keep searching for him. Never give up. That will be making them win :D

You never know, one day a piece of info may turn up unexpectedly and will smash down that brickwall to dust.
