Hi Gang,
I really need some help here- I have pulled all my hair out looking for 2 elusive relatives. My g g grandmother was Mary Featherston (Fetherston) Daffern (Dafforn). I know from her marriage cert that her father was Thomas Featherston (deceased). She married George Hickman 1870 in Staffordshire. Mary was from Warwickshire - I think she was born 1840 in Solihull. Her mother was Hannah Daffern. I can find Thomas, Hannah, daughter Elizabeth, daughter Mary(4 mos) on the 1841 census. I can find Elizabeth & Mary on 1851 census visiting another family. After 1841 I cannot find Thomas or Hannah anywhere. Can anyone give me any ideas where to look now? From what I can piece together, Mary had 2 children when she married George - Lavina 1861 & William 1869 - both have the surname of Daffern.
I would appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks!
