The death in Sydney for Mary has to be ruled out with age so far off.

Names of known children in order of birth.

I have located the ship they came to Australia on - the ELizabeth - left London 10.2.1853, arrived Melbourne 21.?.1853.
They had 6 children I can locate - James 1854-1855, Mary Isabell 1856-1947 [m. 1876 - Joseph Hunter], John 1858-1858, William 1859-1937 [m. 1889 - Mary Ann Owen], Jamison 1862-1949 [m. 1893 - Robina Gardon/Garden], Robert 1965-1955 [m. 1895 - Margaret Green]

IF the naming pattern was followed then William's father would be James as per death reg and not Robert as per that tree. And Mary's parents would be John & Mary. Interesting one son was named Jamison. If that child had been a daughter then possibly named for William's mother.

But no guarantee the family fully followed the tradition.

No birth on SP for Mary with both or just either of those parents. So no way of knowing if one or both are correct.

Parents as listed on death reg are probably correct but can't confirm yet.
