I know this is a long shot but I have a relative named Peter Galvin born in Ireland who came to live in Birmingham in the the 1800's, he was born in around 1791,he was a Tailor and lived in Woodcock Street in Birmingham.
He married a lady named Mary Leadbeater Butler in 1820 at St Martins Church in Birmingham. He had a son named Peter Andrew who went off to America in 1872 and promptly dissapeared, he also had a daughter named Lucy who had a son named George I do not think she was married at this time.
I have 2 problems 1 I do not know were Peter Snr came from in Ireland and 2 I do not know what happened to Peter Jnr when he arrived in Amereica, his wife was named Sarah his job was a Glass Manufacturer.
Does any one have any information on this family.
