Does anyone have a copy of, or access to, the Garstang Parish Records? I am looking for info regarding the family/families of an Isaac Gibson, b. around 1650. According to the IGI he had two sons, John and Henry, and I want to know where he came from, and if he had a son called Cuthbert, born around 1695.

In hope :)

Thanks for that; unfortunately they don't go back (on-line) anything like as far back as I want.

I'm very lucky having my family come from Lancashire; there seems to be a wealth of info on-line, that I dubt I would get if they were from somewhere else in the country.

Certainly on the Hugh Wallis IGI site there are some years that haven't been transcribed.Whether they will eventually I do not know. Could you contact the county records office or the archives and see if they can help?

certainly the Hugh Wallis IGI site only certain years and churches have been transcribed, whether they will be eventually I do not know. I understand that some churches refused to have their records transcribed. Have you tried Archives or county records office? :)
