What does this French surname mean? And, what population of French does it originate from? French Canadian, Acadian, Cajun, France, or some other French population?

I have tried looking for the surname on a surname website but cannot find anything.

I think with French surnames there can be several variants but the surname you described with its variants sounds like a rare surname.

That's too bad. I wonder what surname it originated from. I'm trying to find out what French population one branch of family came from.

When I was living in Jersey in the C.I. The landladies name was Jeandron or Geandron so maybe it is a norman name.
