I am a brand new member here, what a great site and a great resource, and people are so friendly, thank you.
My husband and I started researching our family trees around 15 years ago, but paused when life got in the way - and we are now resuming
I am captivated by the stories attached to our forebears, even those who are not related to me. Just browsing through an old newspaper can lead me down a rabbit hole where I lose a few hours...
Our ancestors are all European and predominantly English/Scottish/Irish (as far as we know), but have now descended across Australia, Canada, India and the US.
My set of 8 great-grandparents are Coffey/Manders/Buckley/Wise/Bloomfield/Roach/Pengilley/Snedden.
My husband's families are Campbell/Paul/Brooks/Fletcher/Prowd/Masterton/Munro/Forster.
We recently completed the DNA test offered on another site, and we are looking forward to seeing what it may reveal.
Happy to help people on this site in any way I can, Cheers Eve
