Asked in a profile pos t (not easy to find) if there was a general 'Help' note or facilty.
I think it would be very helpful to new members:cool:
I know there is information on the web for specific items but a general note would be most helpful for instance why not all birth are on the GRO lists etc etc.

A lot depends on what country they are searching in. Australia for example has no central data base for Birth / death and marriages. Each state has their own, also information can be a different on certificates for each state for the early era. As for our territory, Northern Territory does not have a online data base for BDM. Also prices for certificate vary in price from state to state.
