i am trying to trace my wifes family i have purchased my wifes fathers birth cert and have been trying to trace him through many web sites for geneology but there is no trace of him any where. i have entered exactly what info is on the birth cert but keep on drawing a blank.please can anyone explain why?

his occupation was coal miner.my wife did not know her grandparents as they died before she was born and her father never spoke of any siblings.

looking at the list you sent me i would think it is the merthyr tydfil one.my wife has just remembered that she had some aunts and uncles.nancy.catherine.but these were only 2 of 12.and most of them died before she was born.possibly dewi and tommy also.

The 1911 census for Glamorgan has not yet been released to my knowledge. This should answer a few questions and also the length of years that David and Elizabeth have been married should be stated, pointing towards a marriage date.
