1868 Marriage solemnized at Lower Langfield Church in the parish of Lower Langfield in the Co Tyrone
No. 3 April 15 1868 -
George Acheson - full age - Bachelor - Farmer's son - Drumscraw - George Acheson - Farmer
Rebecca Nelson - full age - Spinster - - - Clunahill - Gerard Nelson - Farmer
Married in the parish of Lower Langfield ... by License by me Thos Lindsay Stack
Parties signed: Witnesses: Joseph Davis, Adam Liggett

It has Lower Langfield not Langfield Lower and Drumscraw not Drumscra.

I think I have managed to transcribe it correctly. In Tithe records the name is Aitcheson.

Family moved from Ireland to Scotland Geoff.

We have been remined to put the topics on the appropriate boards. That means closely related queries get separated.

Hence Nelson is now on Scotland board.

Oh.

I've managed to get the birth for the wrong George junior. That one died young.

This is a better fit with age in 1901 census.

George b. 7 May 1873 Tyrone, Ireland
George ACHESON & Rebecca NELSON
Batch C701531

I don't know if George senior died in Ireland or Scotland 1880 - 1888. Not found in Ireland yet.

Is that the same family as the Rebecca Nelson thread?

Yes Geoff.

John Gerrald b. 1 Feb 1881 Drumscra, Tyrone, Ireland
George ACHESON & Rebecca NELSON

Curious. One that one does not have 'mark x of' but the entry above does show marks were recorded.
