George ALBION

Marriage 2614/1871 MCMENY JOHN - ALBIN RACHEL - MAITLAND

Don't know about that one.

I can't find a death for John in NSW index.

Not sure Geoff but births and deaths in Qld. seem to fit that second marriage.

I have to go now and meet my account re my tax return so catch you later.

Dave

Qld. archives list this but when you go one link deeper the index is not available.

Search Divorces 1861-1894—Index to records of divorces, also known as matrimonial petitions, causes (writs) or Common Law writs.

Nothing found in Trove so far in 1858 or 1859.

No doubt Alexander remarried.

Curious

Mrs. Albion has two sons alive
out of seven boys and girls. The
names of the sons are Hugh, at pre-
sent residing; in Queensland; and
George, as already stated, a resi-
dent of Surry-hills.

Obit says family name is Whitly but image and transcription have Whitty.

I'll try to find that tree again, there was something about the name Whitty being Whitely or similar.
