Hi Jackie,

There is a Edward Clark with George and Annie on the 1881 census listed as son, so looked at the marriages and found these:-

George Bowden year 1872 Sept 1/4 district Chelsea there is a Ann Clark listed

Ann Cooley year 1868 June 1/4 district Chelsea there is a John Clark listed.

Hi Julie,

I noticed that there was a Frank Cooley, nephew of George Bowden on the 1881 census. Maybe Annie Bowden was born Cooley and married John Clark as you say. There are two births for Ann Cooley in Bicester and in Berkhampstead. I don't know how far they are from Chelsea, but she would have been 17 years when she married John Clark. Or alternatively, Frank Cooley is the son of a sister of George?

What do you think?
