Hi

I have mentioned my 4xgreat grandparents George Coombs and Sarah before on here and have been struggling to find a likely marriage.

They had 4 children Matthew George 1812, Margaret 1817, Frederick 1819 and William Thomas 1828 all in London. George Coombs died in 1831 aged 41 and Sarah Coombes remarried in 1834 in Marylebone to James Bradford. She was born in about 1790 as well as she said she was 57 in 1848 when admitted to the Marylebone workhouse and died in February 1851 aged 60. A George Coombs wed a Sarah Davey in 1810 in Axminster, Devon but this Sarah was a widow. My Sarah would have only been about 19 or 20 in 1810. My George was a coachman.

I do hope to find another George Coombs marriage to a Sarah in about 1810 which may be the right one. Frederick Coombs died in 1821 as an infant and Matt and Will survived. I cannot find any trace of Margaret Coombs after her 1817 baptism. She was born 3 June 1817.

Sarah Bradford said in 1841 she was not born in the county she lived in which was Middlesex.

Ben
